This elegant living room mixes both contemporary and antique furnishings. It showcases a custom-made glass beaded table made by one of the artists represented by Coup D'Etat in San Francisco. An antique mirror grounds the sepia toned architectural photograph. Roxana Lavin created both the architectural photograph and the teal abstract artwork paired on the left.
A custom bench compliments the parson style glass coffee table. The colors are richly contrasting yet complimentary; the painting over the fireplace is by Melinda Cootsona a well-known Bay area artist. The artwork centered over the bench is by Adele Seltzer.
An Oly Studio Giacommeti-esque bronze table sits next to two Gustavian styled side chairs.
A library console table grounds the art work above. Two David Ietesta Etruscan Benches with Mongolian sheep fur cushions create extra moveable seating for guests.
The clients wanted to use the family heirloom dining room furniture set, so we decided to paint it a glossy black to give it a fresh makeover. The buffet contrasts nicely with the Galbraith & Paul wallpaper by De Sousa Hughes. A simple yellow graphic art piece created by the designer hangs over the newly revamped antique furniture.
A capiz shell butterfly chandelier hangs from a silver leaf painted ceiling.
The kitchen was completely remodeled to add more cabinet and counter space. The wall on the left was originally a sheet-rock wall that didn't offer any practical utility to the client, an accomplished gourmet cook. The wall was built-out to create more cabinet storage and house the new refrigerator.
A wall of handpicked custom marble squares behind the stainless-steel hood accent the Calcutta Gold marble subway tile on the backsplash. Lagos Azul Limestone is used around the perimeter counter areas.
Three industrial styled task lights illuminate the Calcutta Gold marble counter.
A relaxing color palette serves as the backdrop to this master retreat. The custom designed headboard and bed frame is wrapped in a washable raffia fabric that creates a worldly texture and accents the antique Suzani coverlet.
Two Circa Lighting marble lamps sit on the client's own antique nightstands.
